Hong Kong

Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated areas in the world, made up of three distinct regions: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon Peninsula and the New Territories.

If you are looking for a high end, fast paced Asian experience, with a side of Marks & Spencer, look no further. Known for its dense city scape, late night dining, endless dumplings, hustle and indeed bustle, this is a city where old and new traditions merge and overlap. Those living there can spend their nights in the popular nightlife districts like upscale Lan Kwai Fong or the grungier Wan Chai. While Hong Kong boasts over 60 Michelin-starred restaurants, you can still find cheap and cheerful spots peppering the streets and the seaside villages that can be just as delicious and certainly more atmospheric. Whilst its reputation as a shoppers’ paradise is to be believed, there is much more to Hong Kong than shopping including some fantastic hiking spots with amazing views of the city from various high-altitude peaks. If rugged outdoor activities sound appealing you will be spoiled for choice. You can head out to the UNESCO-listed Hong Kong Global Geopark to hike through different volcanic regions or escape to Lantau Island with its many hiking trails, tiny fishing villages and pristine beaches.
