With around eight million people, Xian feels more relaxed than other big Chinese cities and is full of historical landmarks.

Xian – China

This fascinating, historical gem of a city was the original starting point of the ancient Silk Road trading route, so it has been a ‘global’ city for many centuries and gives a real insight into China history. One of the most famous attractions in Xian is the Terracotta Army, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our teachers currently based in Xian love the multitude of food options to try in the city, they call it a real foodies paradise! With a vibrant international student scene and many tourists, the nightlife is very lively here too, making it one of our most popular second tier cities for our teachers in all of China.
